Napoletana
Ingredients
- 500 gr pasta (of your choice)
- 330 ml tomato juice
- ½ carrot diced
- 1 onion diced
- 200 ml water
- 5 leaves basil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Get a pot and add water. Add salt and bring it to boil.
- Get a second pot and add a bit of olive oil and let it get hot at medium heat. Add the carrot and the onion, salt and pepper. Cook untill they start to get "soft".
- Add the tomato juice, water, sugar and basil. Let it cook at medium heat for 15 minutes. Stir frequently.
- While your sauce is cooking add your pasta to the first bowl. Cook for 6-7 min. (You will cook extra 2-3 minutes in sauce). Drain the pasta.
- After 15 minutes of cooking the Napoli sauce, add it to a blader. Smash till smooth. ( You can always strain it after to avoid any chanks that were not cutted from the blades). Add the sauce in a pan with the pasta.
- Cook for 2-3 min or untill the sauce is combined with your pasta and has a beautiful creamy glaze. You want the sauce to stick on it.
- Enjoy!
