Crispy Fried Chicken
Ingredients
- 200 gr all purpose flour
- 200 gr corn starch
- 500 gr chicken cut in stripes boneless
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp pepper
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp chicken spices
Buttermilk
- 1 Lt milk
- 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
Instructions
- Start by preparing your buttermilk.
- Add all of your milk in a bowl ,then add the white wine vinegar.
- Let it rest for 5-10 min. You will see that the texture of the milk will change.
- Strain the milk to a different bowl to get rid of the small lumbs that will be in the mixture.
- Now you should have a different texture on your milk that is more "thick"
- Add the chicken stripes in the bowl and let them rest in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours.
- Preheat your oil at 180°C.
- In a big bowl add the all purpose flour, the corn starch, all the seasonings (you can add whatever seasoning you like, make it spicy etc.) and mix.
- Get one stripe of chicken from the buttermilk, add it to the seasoning mixture and flip it until it's totally covered. Repeat the process with all stripes.
- Fry them by adding them one by one in the hot oil so they wont stick together. Fry untill golden-brown. (You can use this recipe for fried chicken wings too.)
