Tempura shrimp

Tempura Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1 kg jumbo shrimps
- 300 ml cold water
- 2 eggs
- 400 gr all purpose flour
- 300 gr panko or bread crumbs
Sauce
- 1 bowl cocktail sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your frying oil at 180°C
- Peel the shrimp's skin and leave the tail on. Make a small cut from the head of the shrimp to the tail so you can devein it.
- Make small cuts on the body of the shrimp so it will stay staight even when it's frying.
- In a large bowl beat 2 eggs , add cold water and all purpose flour and mix untill a smooth result of a creamy mixture.
- In a large tray add the panko and whatever seasoning you like, it's up to you if you want to make it spicy etc.
- Dip the shrimp to "butter" then to panko and cover it all over. If you want extra crunch you can repeat the dip process.
- Fry untill golden brown. Serve with your favorite sauce.
